: observed lesson day; B. and I ride the bus together; during class I see J., E., and L. making their way from the train station; the kids do well; did the hardest question first by accident, thought we were running out of time but we weren’t; discussions follow, mostly in Japanese; breads and sandwiches at the good bakery; a nap before diving into my taxes; impossible questions, the sheer intensity of these forms; three hours in I turn on Turbo Tax; it’s still not right but I print anyway; at 10 I call it and resort to The West Wing, The Sopranos, and a bottle of wine.
